Can somebody tell me how this works?
So, if I have 3 planets, right? And I have these research lvls: 1 - 10, 2 - 1, 3 - 1. So if I have researched Intergalactic Research Network, then all those 3 planets have lvl 10 research?

no for irn to work u need the labs to be of the minimum required level for that research to be conducted on that lab separately

eg: energy research needs lab level 1 so if u have irn 2 then all ur 3 planets get connected but u need lab level 10 for irn research so only ur planet 1 lab will take place in that research but if u have lab 10 on all the 3 planets then whn u do irn research on any one planet then all three labs take part in the research provided that your irn is already at level 2 if its at 1 then 2 labs take part and also the level of irn doesnt need to be too high for it to work u just need it equal to the number of colonies that you have (excluding homeplanet - so 1 level less than the total planets in your empire - 10 total planets = 9 level IRN, 9 total planets= 8 level IRN)
